The second session of cardiology screening at the ISI (High School Education) in Barga (Lucca), a prevention action that the Proximity Care project, proposed by the Sant'Anna School of Pisa with the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, promotes with the Proxy Young line of action in High School Education in the Serchio Valley, has begun. Also as part of Proxy Young, students from the ISI of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, together with their teachers, have just concluded an orientation workshop, on lifestyles, prevention and health promotion, at the headquarters of the Sant'Anna School, in Pisa.

The screening is coordinated by Alberto Giannoni, a cardiologist at the Gabriele Monasterio Tuscany Foundation and a associate professor at the Interdisciplinary Health Science Research Center of the Sant'Anna School. Just Remote is the activity of the Proxy Young line dedicated to cardiovascular prevention that involves cardiologists and nurses from the Sant'Anna School, the Gabriele Monasterio Tuscany Foundation, and the Asl Toscana nord ovest. So far, a total of 320 students attending the two high schools in the Serchio Valley, ISI in Barga and ISI in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, have undergone cardiology screening.

The collaboration with ISI Barga for cardiology screenings is now in its second year and sees the collaboration between the research team and the teachers: dean Iolanda Bocci, vice dean Silvia Redini, the institute's contact person for civic education Lucia Frazzetto, and teachers Lucia Lucchesi and Rossella Piegaia. Through Friday, April 12, cardiology screening activities and cardiovascular risk prevention initiatives are planned, particularly to counter cases of juvenile arrhythmias, which can, albeit in rare cases, cause sudden death.

With these screenings, the Just Remote activity extends the prevention protocol created on the initiative of Michele Emdin, professor coordinator of the Health Science Interdisciplinary Research Center at the Sant'Anna School and director of cardiology at the Gabriele Monasterio Tuscany Foundation, and Marco Di Paolo, associate professor of Forensic Medicine at the University of Pisa. The screening activities were preceded by a meeting with students, students and faculty on Saturday, April 6, to explore the issues of cardiology prevention and lifestyles.

Meanwhile, a group students and faculty from the ISI of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana were guests at the headquarters of the Sant'Anna School, in Pisa, to participate in a training and orientation workshop on the topics of lifestyles, prevention and health promotion
